For the next few days I will be existing in that strange nether-world where half the clocks in my house are on BST, the rest still on GMT. And I’m never quite sure which is which… (I could just look at my phone, but trying to guess is much more fun!)

Gutted to learn that Google are “retiring” Reader in July. Reader is so thoroughly interwoven into my daily technology use across a multitude of platforms and apps, I’ll be very sad to see it go. On the flip side, maybe this is a positive thing - I wonder if there are better alternatives out there, which I’ve ignored because of my blinkered devotion to the Google Reader API?

The hipsters have been and gone, the privacy worriers and wannabe pro-photographers have abandoned ship, and everyone is sick to death of the trademark retro filters - Instagram is finally uncool enough for me to start using it!

At the day job: reviewing a vulnerability report produced by a white-hat hacking team which our client employed to attack the web application I built for them! I’m proud of how our site performed, but it’s good to be reminded I still have plenty to learn…

Good grief, it’s been over a year since I last mentioned my smartphone buying procrastination, and I’m *still* stuck in a state of analysis paralysis! Currently trying to choose between the Samsung Galaxy S2, Motorola RAZR i, HTC Desire X and Samsung Galaxy Ace 2. (I’ve given up waiting for the Nexus 4 to come back in stock). I’m sure this was easier when all I had to choose from was a Nokia 5110, or a … Nokia 5110.
