Report:

AGFC secured their second impressive win of the week in a season which is fast becoming their most impressive in their short history. Emyr was back in the AGFC ranks for the first time this year while a Hyder player was drafted into the ranks to make the match a competitive ten a side affair. It was Hyder who drew first blood in the first period as AGFC struggled to get a foothold in the game although chances for both sides were limited as Hyder took a one nil lead into the interval.

AGFC came out more organised and competitive in the second half and it was Panny who got the home team back into the match as he curled a free kick over both sets of players into the far corner of the Hyder net. Jamal was soon to give AGFC the lead as he beat a Hyder defender on the outside and drilled the ball expertly past the keeper and into the far corner. With AGFC settling into a good rhythm and passing the ball well at a high pace Hyder started to lose confidence which was further dented as Panny scored AGFC’s third with a thunderbolt half volley that gave the keeper no chance. To Hyder’s credit they kept battling and scored a late consolation but it was never going to be enough to stop the AGFC bandwagon rolling on. The man of the match vote was unsurprisingly a two horse race with Panny impressing with his finishing and workrate but it was Emyr who edged the award with an accomplished display in the holding midfield role with timely tackling, confident heading and accurate pass distribution.
