Report:

AGFC visited Cardiff for the first time this season with a rare appearance at Sophia Gardens to take on Loco Splott on their own turf. An early season encounter had resulted in a win for AGFC but Loco proved a different proposition at Home and ran out comprehensive winners at the end of the 90 minutes. AGFC once again struggled to get their foot on the ball and lacked the passing quality to trouble a decent side such as Loco. Their cause wasn't helped by several unforced errors at the back which inevitably are punished with a side as low on confidence as AGFC are at the moment. It is difficult for a side that goes 3 nil down within the first twenty minutes to bounce back, but the opportunity was there when some AGFC pressure from a corner allowed Steve to pick the ball up inside the penalty area, cut inside one defender and stroke the ball home. That was the final scoring action at the interval as Loco kept their 2 goal advantage.

AGFC came out hopeful for the second half that they could overturn the deficit but an untimely fourth goal put AGFC on the back foot once again. AGFC did produce some decent patterns of play with Rich finding some space on the left side of midfield and the midfield generally looking a bit more creative but consistently failing to find the final killer ball which would have opened up Loco. AGFC did come close with an extraordinary strike by Panny from the byline which cleared the Loco Keeper and cruelly cannoned off the crossbar and a volley by Rich which whistled a foot wide of the far post. However, this just about summed up AGFC's luck at the moment, whose supporters are being made to wait for an all-round decent performance from the players and just as importantly a win!
