Report:

This was your archetypal game of two halves as AGFC struggled to come to terms with a fit, young Cardiff Optometry side in the first half but completely outplayed the opposition in the second period. The first half was competitive as Optometry scored three fine goals with quality finishes whereas AGFC could only respond with Rich's follow up goal from a Booty shot as the Optometry goalkeeper fumbled the shot on his goal line.

In the second half AGFC changed their shape and Panny slotted into a more central holding role which benefited the Team and kick started a stunning comeback with seven unanswered goals as Optometry wilted under sharp passing , strong tackling and cool finishing of their opponents as they made their experience count. A strong run from Calvin skinned the full back and a pinpoint cross to Rich got AGFC back into the game. An in swinging corner from Rich glanced off the head of a defender and quickly AGFC were soon level. Calvin scored twice and Fraser once while Rich had a goal disallowed for offside as AGFC effectively killed off the match as a contest. With 10 minutes remaining AGFC turned the screw and rubbed salt in the wounds as Rich fired a loose ball into the top of the net while the same player finished a cushioned Calvin header just before the lights went out on a clinical AGFC second half performance.

Panny, Jamal, Calvin and Booty all picked up votes in the man of the match stakes but it was Rich's match as he became the latest AGFC player to score five in a contest and take home the man of the match award.
