MrCeri Net Send is a simple Windows interface to the popular "Net Send" DOS application. This
program lets you send messages to other users on your network, which appear as pop-up message
boxes on their screen, like the one below:
Of course it’s straight forward enough to use Net Send in
DOS mode, but a lot of users are unfamiliar with DOS, and MrCeri Net Send
provides an easy to use Windows interface with a few helpful extras, making it
the perfect tool for aiding office gossip!
Here's a summary of the features:
- Send messages to other users on your network.
- Net Send messages are
harder to ignore than emails or phone calls.
- Remembers the last person you sent a message to, so you don't have to.
- Allows for easy cutting and pasting of messages from other applications.
- Messages are much easier to edit in the MrCeri Net Send window than on a
DOS command line.

How do I send messages?
1) First you need to know the machine name, username or IP address of the user
you wish to send your message to. If that doesn't make much sense just use the
person's Windows login name (e.g. jSmith). Type this into the "To:" box.
2) Next type your message into the message box (you can use the "Clear" button
to delete any old messages).
3) Hit the "Send" button - that's it!
A little console (DOS) window will pop up when you hit send - this will
disappear when the recipient has read your message.
How does MrCeri Net Send work?
MrCeri Net Send works by acting as a graphical interface to the DOS "net send"
command. The advantages of this are that MrCeri Net Send stores the alias of
the last person you messaged, allows for easier cutting and pasting, and is
generally easier to use than having to fire up a DOS command prompt every time
you want to send a message.
If you don't want to use my program you can still access the net send
functionality by calling the DOS net send command from a command prompt, e.g.:
C:\>net send JSmith "Alright John!"
What operating systems will MrCeri Net Send work on?
MrCeri Net Send will only work on Microsoft Windows NT, 2000 or XP. The chances
are that if you are in work you will be using one of these operating systems.
Will MrCeri Net Send work on my Apple Mac computer?
No, I'm afraid the current version only works on Microsoft Windows
(NT/2000/XP).
How do I remove/un-install MrCeri Net Send?

the MrCeriNet Send.exe file.
